1. The short version

This website runs one Google tag (Google Analytics and Google Ads), and only if you switch Analytics and marketing on. There is no Meta Pixel, no Klaviyo script and no error tracker. Fonts are served from our own domain. Everything stored in your browser is listed in the table below, and the optional items run only after you switch them on.

Open cookie preferences to change your choices at any time. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately.

Necessary items are needed for sign-in, the cart, checkout and recording your own choice; they need no consent (POPIA section 11(1)(b); ePrivacy "strictly necessary"). Functional and Analytics and marketing items are off until you turn them on: until you switch Analytics and marketing on, the site does not load any Google script or contact Google at all.

3. What analytics means here

With Analytics and marketing on, the site writes a row to our own database for a page view, a product view or an item added to the cart: the page path, a product id, and a random session id that lasts until you close the tab. No name, email, IP address or account id is stored with it, and these rows stay in our own database. Rows will be deleted on a schedule once the retention period is set ([13 months] proposed); until then they are kept and you can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Third parties

Your browser talks to two other organisations while you use the site: Supabase(our database and sign-in provider) and PayFast when you choose to pay. Neither sets a cookie on this domain. A course page that shows a YouTube film loads YouTube's privacy-enhanced player only when you press play; from then on YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply to that player. Emails we send may load two font files from Google when your email client displays them; email clients that block remote content show a system font instead.

If you switch Analytics and marketing on, your browser also loads the Google tag from googletagmanager.com, which feeds Google Analytics and Google Ads. Google then learns that you visited, which pages you viewed and, if you came from one of our ads, whether you went on to buy or book (the payment reference and amount, never your name, email or card). We use this to see how the site is used, which ads work, and to show our ads again to past visitors. Google processes this under its own privacy policy. Turning Analytics and marketing off stops the tag and deletes the Google cookies on this site.

5. Browser controls

You can also clear or block site data in your browser settings. Blocking Necessary storage will stop sign-in and checkout from working.
