Every autumn, the majestic pecan nut trees at the Yellow Tree Training Centre catch fire in slow motion — green giving way to gold, one leaf at a time.
Then the wind arrives, and the leaves drop into a soft yellow carpet underfoot, with a glowing canopy still overhead. For a few weeks the garden becomes a wonderland, and everyone who walks through it slows down a little.
That is where our name — and our brand — was born. It is also how we think about reading: it does not arrive all at once. It turns quietly, leaf by leaf, until a child stands in the middle of the words and finds the whole world glowing.

Yellow Tree Reading Academy began with a mother's lifetime of teaching struggling readers — and a daughter's belief that those resources should reach every child, parent and educator who needs them.
Today we are a mother-and-daughter team: Annemarie, the educational specialist and author behind every book, course and game; and Tania, the digital marketer and developer who helps her work travel further than ever before.

For years, Annemarie watched bright, capable children fall behind in reading — not because they could not learn, but because they were not being taught in the way they needed. She spent her career teaching parents and teachers the HOW to teach children with reading difficulties and delays.
Tania is a digital marketer with a flair for the creative. She started working with her mother to assist her in hosting training workshops at the Yellow Tree Learning Centre. The passion for helping and equipping teachers was contagious, and she joined in her mother's quest to bring those tools into the light and digitalise the content.
Together, they combined Annemarie's deep expertise in remedial education and the Science of Reading with Tania's skills in digital strategy, design and development. What emerged was more than an online shop — it was a movement to equip the people who teach children to read.
